The Mortal War is over, and sixteen-year-old Clary Fray is back home in New York, excited about all the possibilities before her. She's training to become a Shadowhunter and to use her unique power. Her mother is getting married to the love of her life. Downworlders and Shadowhunters are at peace at last. And—most importantly of all—she can finally call Jace her boyfriend.

But nothing comes without a price.

Someone is murdering Shadowhunters, provoking tensions between Downworlders and Shadowhunters that could lead to a second, bloody war. Clary's best friend, Simon, can't help her. His mother just found out that he's a vampire and now he's homeless. Everywhere he turns, someone wants him on their side—along with the power of the curse that's wrecking his life. And they're willing to do anything to get what they want. Not to mention that he's dating two beautiful, dangerous girls—neither of whom knows about the other one.

When Jace begins to pull away from her without explaining why, Clary is forced to delve into the heart of a mystery whose solution reveals her worst nightmare: she herself has set in motion a terrible chain of events that could lead to her losing everything she loves. Even Jace.

Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. The stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels. (Via Amazon)

Review:

Sensational! Cassandra Clare has once again created a timeless masterpiece! Another add to the Bestselling Series, City of Fallen Angels, has blown my mind!

I have to confess, at first throughout the summer and late spring, I was a little worried after some reviewers said it wasn't very good. It scared me to think that a book might ruin my perception of one of my favorite series. But, after reading it, I knew how wrong I had been! It was just epic and amazing!

Clary and Jace still had that perfect chemistry that I loved from book one! The villains were just as evil as before. And the twists were just as twisting as before.

The characters reached out to me from the pages and Jace....just as sigh-inducing. How does Cassandra have such an imaginative, incredible story producing mind? She made the novel into something more then a mere book. Can't wait for more books coming out by her!

The setting of the book was engaging and very vividly written out. Overall, CoFA is a book to die for!

Cover Thoughts:

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eyecatching!!!!!!! JUST PLAIN INCREDIBLE!!!!

Rating:

5/5 Nothing Lower! Everything higher!!!

  1. People complained about character coming back from the dead. Well, I'd like to say that he never officially was announced dead and it wasn't like they were walking around one day and out of nowhere he just pops out like, "Hi, how you doin!?" Again she formed a story line so it made since and didn't get me all hot and bothered like some. I definitely wouldn't say it compares to the original three. The first three had one story and plot and these next three its like a new adventure for the gang. Even though it's still tied to the original three in a way, it is more of like a sequel trilogy to the original three. The ending has a twist like no other and the whole book keeps you on edge. Of course more Magnus would be nice because he is just like the best character ever but other than that.
