Review: This book looked really interesting when I first heard about it. I read and loved Asher's first book, Thirteen Reasons Why, earlier this year, and I was curious to read his next book. Thankfully, The Future of Us did not disappoint me.
Besides The Future of Us, I've never read a book set in the 90s, to be quite honest, and I really could not imagine life without all the technology we have today. I don't even want to consider the possibility of still having dial-up internet.
I liked the alternating POV of Emma and Josh. There were many humorous moments in this book, and it was funny to see their take on Facebook. I liked how a few things popular now that didn't exist in the 90s were mentioned.
It was fascinating to see how one tiny thing Emma or Josh changed impacted the future. This book makes you think if you'd really want to know what your future is going to be like. This was, however, a lighter read, and it moves very quickly.

reallly want this
ReplyDeleteGreat review! I personally loved Jay Asher's Thirteen Reasons Why (in fact that book inspired me to write a poem:P) and your review just made me want to read the book real bad. I'll be adding it to my TBR list for sure!
