YOUR DREAM BOOK GIVEAWAY - ENDS 6/5

This is my SECOND exciting book giveaway. In order to spice things up a bit or a lot at my new blog, I am granting ONE lucky winner the book of their dreams! Do you have a book on the top of your wish list that you are dying to read? Is there a new book coming out that you are stoked about but haven't quite hit the pre-order button yet? Is the book already at the bookstore but you just haven't made it there to purchase it? Well all you have to do is enter my giveaway for a chance to win your dream book. I will purchase the book of your choice online through either amazon or barnes&noble and ship directly to you. Since I'm not sure which yet, just make sure the book you want is available through either outlets.

  55. Genie question: that's a hard one. I'm very *very* suspicious of genies (except for Aladdin's genie... if I find a genie that talks like Robin Williams, then we're going to have some fun wishing time & then I'll release him, of course). : )

but otherwise, I wouldn't make a wish. I know, how boring, but genie wishes ALWAYS go wrong. I might wish to free the genie, depending on circumstances & the genie (if he's obviously evil/malicious, I'm putting him right back in that jar).

    Fun question. : )

I always wanted to be an author (which I why I love books so much) and I admire the kinds of books that keep me hooked and ones that actually enjoy to read and feel like I know the characters. I would also like to use this ability to write a few non-fiction books and hopefully motivate people (mostly kids) to become better.

  97. I've known what I wanted since I was eight!

Dear Genie: I want, with no ill effects on my person, non-deforming, non-painful, controllable by me, to be able to make anything I want--a painting, a novel, a pony, a new dimension-- just the way I want it, with editing ability and all, just by commanding. Not the ability to *portray* things, you understand, but the ability to call things into being.

Best this not apply to humans, though. I wouldn't want to worry that I was shaping the thoughts of people around me.

Other than that, bring on the creator mojo! I promise, it won't corrupt me, and the world will be happier and more full of pie for the experience. Try me? Please, genie?

The fear, heartache, and loneliness is something that nobody should have to feel or go through. 123. If I had a genie that could grant me one wish, I would use it to wish away my mother's leukemia. She is a wonderful individual and one of the kindest people I have ever known and she doesn't deserve to be sick for the rest of her life. I have my own problems but I would gladly give up my wish if it meant that she didn't have to feel so ill and tired all the time.

  127. If I could have one wish be granted it would be to have the ability to travel. I want to go to Europe, soooo bad! But with two young children it's just not possible right now. It's hard to make that just one wish though. I need someone to care for my kids and I need the money to travel! Maybe I could take the kids with... so I guess I just need the money to travel to Europe.

  129. If I had a personal genie and my wish could be granted, it would be a wish that I think about quite often. I would like to open a no kill animal shelter.

I love all animals but I especially want to help cats. I am saddened by the many homeless cats I find who are starving and trying to survive only to have people be mean to them and yell at me when I feed them. They are beautiful, loving animals who very intelligent and they have feelings. They deserve a good life and anyway this would be my dream wish.

  132. If I had a personal genie to grant me one wish, I would ask for a cabin on about 10 acres of land so I could grow all of our food and have enough extra to go sell at the farmer's market once a week. That's all I want. Just a nice quiet area to live in and room for the kids to run and play. - away from suburbia.

  144. If you had a personal genie that could grant you only ONE wish in your lifetime, what would it be AND WHY?

I would want for someone to buy me a cute, 2-3 bedroom house with land for a big furry dog or two to run around as well as a beautiful wrap-around porch so I can sit and get lost in whatever book I choose each and every night. I think that having a "safe space" where you can read your book and enjoy nature is most peaceful thing in life!

  149. If a genie could grant me any wish, I would ask for the ability to communicate with nature. I would love to be able to understand the wind, converse with the mountains, and talk to fire. Although nature doesn't talk, it must accumulate lots of stories during its eternal life.

  161. If I had one wish, I'm pretty sure it'd be the ability to know what people need to hear at different points in their lives, and being able to relate that to them. Too many times, I don't know what to say, or end up saying the wrong thing, regardless if someone is in a bad point in their lives, and I really wish I'd be able to help in saying something meaningful to them.

  162. And, dream book at this point would probably be A Clockwork Orange, because it's been about a year that I've tried to remember to get it, yet failed in doing so. I haven't read it yet, but have heard it's interesting / I'm really liking the fact that it has its own internal language to understand by the middle of the book. Makes the process of reading sound more appealing.

  178. I have fibromyalgia and my wish is that it wouldn't control my life as much as it does. I'd like to have the energy again to cook, clean, read a book and go for a walk - all on the same day. I'd like to not have to worry about if I have the energy to drive home from where I've gone - or the fact that I slept through my 3 day weekend because I went out for a 1/2 a day. But on the other hand, I am thankful for the pain blockers that help me get through my days at work and the fact that my headaches aren't near as bad as they used to be. =0) Smiles!
